Filthy Rich Fat people--Greed and Waste

Whats the point of living in this world if you only care about yourself? Everyday people waste money on things they do not need or spend money on expensive cars, clothes, jewelry and much more. They don't care about the homeless and do not give money to non profit charities. Celebrities are positive example of greed by giving money to the poor or to help raise money for non profit organizations and show how generous they are.
The morbidly obese people is an example of greed because they stuff their mouths with luxurious amounts of food. It is like a Thanksgiving dinner where everyone is stuffing food in their mouths and forgetting about those who cannot afford these extravagant dinners or those who cannot afford anything at all.
Greed brings out the selfishness out of everyone. It is a disease that cannot be cured. Greed brings the devil out of a person. Greed is a waste of time and is not helpful to our society because the economy is getting worse. "The rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer"

  1. Indeed, greed is a incurable disease. People are extremely selfish, and do not realize how blessed they are to have enough food to eat everyday, and to have a choice of clothes. We complain "I'm sick of this food. I don't want to eat in anymore," while others would give anything to even have the same food twice a week. We moan with pain when we receive a piece of ugly clothing, while the poor would give anything to have even a pair of clothing. Our society will not realize what such extreme greed is doing to us till something horrendous happens.

  2. I would like it if you really embraced these characters you associated with greed and waste, like the obese people who are greedy with their food. Also the topic of selfishness comes into play here and it would be benificial to the writing if you used that more to describe why people are the greedy wasteful creatures that we are.

  3. I like the examples you gave about what defines greed; I can understand what you mean about the people being greedy. The thing is, what about those celebrities that have money but do not contribute at all? I think that those who help, even if the cameras follow them around, are doing their part. They have more than a lot of us, and they help because they know they should, or because they want to. Excess eating, WITHOUT giving to others is greedy. I believe that as long as you help others anyway you can, then you could reward yourself as well. I wouldn't mind a Mercedes-Benz, actually.
